TARUWA in the City [British Council's Lagos Theatre Festival]

Sat, 1 March, 18:30 GMT+1

Roll the drums! The 2nd edition of British Council’s 'Lagos Theatre Festival' kicks off tomorrow, February 28 to run till Sunday, March 2, and guess who’ll be there? Yes you got that right. Taruwa!!!

We’re pleased to announce that there will be a special edition of Taruwa, designed for the festival on Saturday, March 1, 2014. It’ll be TARUWA as you know it [with a little more spice]; great music, spoken word, monologues and beautiful people! Please join us, Time is 6:30pm and Entry is free.

British council takes theatre to unconventional spaces for its theatre festival [Something we find really interesting], and for its sophomore edition, the festival will hold at Freedom Park, Lagos Island, as opposed to a theatre location [which we’re all used to]. 4 plays will be showing, as well as fringe shows and exhibitions. http://www.britishcouncil.org.ng/countdown-lagos-theatre-festival-2014
