A brief Bio-data and message from the new vice rector:

I started my career with EMU since  1979, I have taking different positions, after my graduation i was sent on scholarship for my master in Essex university in England after my master i was also sent for my Phd in brat ford university in England to be educated as a teacher in academic, on return i was made the director of school of computer technology for seven years, later i switch to continue education for five years and move to the faculty of engineering as the dean and now i am here as the Vice Rector of Eastern Mediterranean University.

As the new Vice Rector the vision still remains the same the school is very much interested in internationalization of the university, we have about 100 different countries from around the world, also we are encouraging student societies because we know student can gain technical skills from the classes but some skills like entrepreneurship, self confidence, we are going to continue to help every societies in order to help our students develop in all areas of life.

what happen in the university administration is a usual term ending for former rector because its a government university the government has to decide what kind of appointment they will make for the new rector, there is a need for constitution and law change, the law was to be change but for 30 years it could not be change and that its why we are given the mandate to set the rule and make a new laws.
This changes will not in anyway affect international students.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca
