A man decided to convert a Boeing 727 into his home after making it his mission to save retired jetliners from becoming scrap metal.
Bruce Campbell, from Portland, Oregon, now spends half of the year living inside the large aircraft, which still has its cockpit.
The 64-year-old former electrical engineer had originally planned to build a home from freight vans at the ten acre plot, but then decided a plane would be better.

Mine [goal in life] is to change humanity’s behaviour in this little niche,’ he said as he stood beside the aircraft, which he spent around £130,000 ($220,000) on.
Other than being annoyed by duties such as power washing the exterior and trimming the dense foliage, Mr Campbell enjoys his unusual residence.
He now plans to do it all over again, but this time with a Boeing 747. He hopes to buy the plane and move to Japan, where he also spends half of the year.
